In this research it was aimed to investigate the reliability and efficacy of sertralin and imipramine in post psychotic depressive disorder in schizopnrenialpost schizophrenic depression in a comparable way. Diagnosis were made according to the DSM-IV and ICD-10 criterias. In order to differentiate depressif symptoms from the negative symptoms, Simpson-Angush scale and SANS were used. In order to discriminate placebo effect 10 days of placebo treatment period was applied. Severity of depression was followed up by using Hammilton Depression Scale and Clinical Global İmpression Scale. In each group there were 20 people and to each group 50 mg/day sertralin, 150 mg/day imipramin doses were giyen and patients followed up to 5 weeks. During diagnosis and treatment period single-blind approach was used. As a result it was found that sertralin's effect started earlier but bouth of the drugs were effective and sertralin had clear advantages to imipramine from the sense of side effects and also the risk of relapse of schizophrenia.

Bu çalışmada şizofreninin psikoz sonras ı depresif bozuklu ğu/port şizofrenik depresyonda sertralin ve imiprüminin etkinlik ve emniyetinin k ıyaslamalı olarak araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Tanılar DSM-IV ve ICD-10 kriterlerine göre konulmu ştur. Depresif bulgularm nöroleptiklerinin ekstrapiramidal yan etkilerinden ve negatif semptomlardan ayrılmasında Simpson-Angush skalas ı ve SANS kullan ılmıştır. Plasebo etkisinin bertaraf edilmesi amacıyla 10 günlük bir plasebo tedavi peryodu uygulanm ıştır. Depresyon şiddeti Hamilton Depresyon Ölçeği ve Klinik Global izlenimler Ölçe ği ile takip edilmi ştir. 20'şer kişiden oluşan iki grupta sertralin 50 'Izgi gün ve imipramin 150 mgl gün ile sabit doz uygulamas ı yapılmış ve hastalar 5 hafta süre ile izlenmiştir. Tanı ve tedavi değerlendirmelerinde tek-kör yöntem kullan ılm ıştır. Sonuç olarak psikoz sonrası depresyonda sertralinin etkisi daha erken başlamak kaydıyla her iki droğun etkili oldu ğu ve sertralin kullanımının yan etkilerin miktar ı , şiddeti ve süreli açıları ile şizofreni bulgularının alevlenmesi riski aç ısından imipramine kıyasla belirgin derecede avantajlı olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
