The prostituon is fact that has been come across for old centuries and appeared systematically in civilized societes. In this article, the brothel women constitute the last link of prostitution chain were investigated on social and psychiatric point. 51 women chosen by chance among 362 women work in Karaköy Brothel were applied social investigation and in the light of literature, findings were discussed.

Fahişelik, insanlığın ilk çağlarından beri rastlanılan ancak sistemli olarak uygar toplumlarda görülen bir olgudur. Vesikal ı fahişelerin sosyal ve psikiyatrik aç ıdan incelenmesi amacı güdülen bu makalede, İstanbul Karaköy'deki geneleve kayıtlı 362 kadından tesadüfi yöntemle seçilen 51'ine sosyal anket uygulanmış , bulgular literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.
