Abstract
In this study a family history of essential tremor was found to be 14.5 % in 173 patients with Parkinson's disease. The predominant symptom was tremor in 56 %, bradykinesia in 36 %, gait disorder in 8 % of patients with Parkinson's disease who having family history of essential tremor. On the other hand, in patients with Parkinson's disease without family history of essential tremor, the predominant symptom was tremor in 71 %, bradykinesia in 26 %, gait disorder in 3 %. These data, when analysed, led to the result that there is no statistically significant association between a family history of essential tremor and occurrence of tremor as the predominant symptom in Parkinson's disease (Ki-square 2, p=0.26).
Bu çalışmada 173 idyopatik Parkinson hastasının % 14.5'unda ailede esansiyet tremor öyküsü saptanm ıştır. Ailesinde esansiyel tremor öyküsü olan Parkinson hastalarının % 56'sında önde gelen semptom tremor, % 36'sında bradikinezi, 8'de yürüyüş bozuklu ğu iken, ailesinde esansiyel tremor öyküsü olmayanlar ın % 71 de tremor, % 26'sında bradikinezi, % 3'de yürüyüş bozuklu ğu önde gelen semptomu olu şturmuştur. Parkinson hastalığında ailede esansiyel tremor öyküsü ile hastalığın önde gelen semptomu arasında anlamlı ilişki saptanmamıştır (Ki-kare p=0.26).
